The Glories of Venice

On Saturday 14th March 2026 at 7.00pm, Sherborne Abbey welcomes the Sherborne Chamber Choir, joined by The English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble, for an inspiring evening of Renaissance splendour.

The Glories of Venice celebrates the rich musical heritage of sixteenth and seventeenth century Venice, bringing to life magnificent works by Monteverdi, Gabrieli and their contemporaries. With period instruments and the soaring voices of the choir, this promises to be a vibrant and atmospheric performance in the beautiful surroundings of the Abbey.
