From age 8 and up children are invited to become part of our serving team, which involves being an integral part of our Sunday morning worship, learning new skills and making friends.
Roles include:
- Acolyte – carrying candles
- Cruficer – for older/ taller children, carrying the processional cross
- Book Carrier – holding the Gospel Book.
There’s also the ringing of the special Sanctuary bell during the Eucharist, and on feast days we have a Thurifer (the thurible is a brass sphere containing burning incense, swung on a chain) and Boat Carrier (the vessel containing the incense.)
Robes are provided, and training takes place before your first Sunday serving with our Head of Server Training John Keating. Please contact either the Parish Office or the Verger Team for more information.
