Dorset Historic Churches Trust grant aids repairs to Dorset churches and most of its funding comes from the annual Ride & Stride event – this year to be held on Saturday 9 September 2023. Sherborne walkers, riders, & striders will start from the Abbey at 10.00 am.

Two longstanding supporters of the event are Mike Keatinge & Eric Jager.  Mike hopes to equal his walk last year visiting 15 local churches & Eric plans to run a marathon taking in 19 Dorset churches. Dogs are also invited to take their owners on a route around some of Sherborne’s 12 places of worship to claim a ‘Well Done’ rosette at the end (more details in September’s Monthly Bulletin).
