DESCRIPTION:Knitters from across the UK have created a stunning set of 80 scenes “The Longest Yarn 2 – Britain at War”\, which depicts scenes of Britain during wartime using yarn. It builds on the international success of The Longest Yarn\, an exhibition of knitted scenes from D-Day\, which following a tour of the UK is now in the USA. \nThe Longest Yarn Exhibition will run from Tuesday 4th November until Thursday 27th November. There will be a suggested donation of £4.00 per person\, with the funds going to The Longest Yarn Exhibition\, Veterans and The Abbey.

DESCRIPTION:Christmas Donations for the Women’s Refuge \nThis Christmas\, Sherborne Abbey is supporting the local Women’s Refuge by collecting new toys and books for the children staying there over the festive season. \nMany of these children would otherwise have nothing to open on Christmas Day. Your generosity can help bring joy\, comfort and a sense of hope at a time when it is needed most. \nGifts do not need to be wrapped.Donations can be brought to the Abbey on Toy Sunday (23rd November) or dropped off at the Parish Office during opening hours. \nWe will be collecting items until Thursday 27 November. \nThank you\, as always\, for your kindness and support.
