The Sherborne
Historical Society organises a varied programme of lectures, including
a number on aspects of church history. In the Digby Hall, Hound
Street, Professor Christopher Holdsworth will speak
on Monks and Monasteries of the South West
from the Norman Conquest to the Reformation. The Society always
welcomes new members, and also visitors ‘on the night' (on payment
of a small fee).
